APSC Cash-for-Job Scam: Rakesh Paul to face further SIT interrogation in the matter
There are rumors that the SIT will interrogate Rakesh Paul for the revelation of new information regarding the APSC cash-for-job scam.

Digital Desk: Assam Police's Special Investigation Team (SIT) will question Rakesh Paul, the former chairman of the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC), once again, according to reports that surfaced on Saturday.

There are rumors that the SIT will interrogate Rakesh Paul in an effort to extract fresh information regarding the APSC cash-for-job scam.

According to reports, the information that the former chairman of the APSC supplied during the interrogations did not satisfy the SIT. For this reason, he will be questioned again about fresh information and numbers related to the infamous scam.

Paul was released from prison on March 28 after more than six years of incarceration. This comes after a special judge's court decided to give him bail on March 24 in relation to the case brought against him for his involvement in the APSC's enormous swindle. In November 2016, he was taken into custody. He was given bail, albeit with restrictions.

As per the sources, the SIT has not been able to substantiate the accusations made against numerous contenders. The sources stated that the investigation team is still clueless about how these applicants' marks were raised.

Meanwhile, earlier this month, Nanda Babu Singh, the former principal controller of APSC examinations, was placed under judicial custody in connection with the infamous recruitment scam. In relation to the APSC scandal, Singh was taken into custody from his Silchar home on December 11. He was questioned for two days in a row before being taken into custody by the Assam Police SIT.
