    APSC Scam: Probe on, SIT summons 2 Gazetted officers

    Digital Desk: In a recent update following the APSC Scam, SIT (Special Investigation Team) summoned Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Nilanjal Gogoi, who works in SB, as well as suspended ARCS (Asst. Registrar of Cooperative Societies) Vikas Sharma was called up for probe for failing in the examination.

    As per reports, the actual marks were revealed, Nilanjal Gogoi scored 125 marks in English but with the blessing of Former chairman of APSC Rakesh Paul marks were increased to 175 marks.

    Nilanjal scored 106 marks in the first paper of History which was raised to 166 points.

    Whereas, suspended ARCS Vikas Sharma scored only 55 marks in English subject, marks later increased by 202. 

    In the first paper of political science Vikas scored 61 marks, the score was increased by 111 on the tabulation sheet. In 2nd paper Vikas scored 66 marks, the number later increased to 116.

    In the First Paper of Assamese, Bikash scored 119 marks increased by 139. In the 2nd Paper of Assamese, Vikas accumulated 109 marks, the score went up to 129.

    The APSC scam, which was exposed in 2013, entailed illegally increasing the number of marks on the final tabulation sheet.
