A few days ago, the Sivasagar district Police received a letter from a ULFA cadre who was eager to come out of the ULFA camp in Myanmar due to the inhuman treatment by senior formations and poor living conditions in the ULFA camp located in Myanmar.
The active ULFA cadre identified as Ashiq Ali @ Riyaz Asom, vill-Gar All, PS- Nazine, Dist- Sivasagar, Assam surrendered himself before the Sivasagar Police. He also handed over one Chinese hand grenade along with one mobile phone.
He left Nazira for Myanmar on 10 April 2022 after establishing contact with Abhijeet Gago @ Ichang Asom via FaceBook. His date of joining was 17 April 2022 and afterward, he had undergone 2 months of training.
