Anything abusive from Gandhi family, I consider it as a blessing: Assam CM Sarma
When it came to criticizing Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party's initiatives, Sarma did not hold back...

Digital Desk: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma continued the verbal attacks between Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and himself during Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra by stating that he considers it as a blessing if anything abusive comes from the Gandhi family.

Taking to X, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, "Anything abusive, that comes from the so-called Gandhi family, I consider it as a blessing. Because this gives me the energy to fight against a family which considers itself to be the most powerful".

CM Sarma continued in his post, calling the Gandhi family as the most corrupt once more, "But I want to ask only one thing, can anyone be more corrupt than the Gandhis? - Bofors Scam, National Herald Scam, Bhopal Gas Tragedy, the escape of Anderson, 2G scam, Coal Scam, etc (the list is huge and it goes on & on )".

When it came to criticizing Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party's initiatives, Chief Minister Sarma did not hold back. He questioned the rally's motivations and the efficacy of such gatherings in solving the actual problems that citizens of Assam and the country as a whole confront.

On the other hand, Rahul Gandhi did not waver in his support of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra. He defended the event, saying it provided an important forum for educating the public about the injustices and disparities that have been ailing the nation.

Gandhi said that the Yatra is a call to action for the populace to unite and demand that their leaders be held accountable and transparent.

The 67-day Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra is expected to travel 6,713 km via 110 districts across 15 states. It covers 17 districts and 833 miles across Assam until January 25.
