Guwahati: Assam's Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary reopened today after its regular closing through the monsoon period. The Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary located in central Assam's Morigaon district is known for the dense population of Great Indian Rhinoceros.
The flood during the monsoon season caused damaged to the roadways and bridges inside the sanctuary. However, all these damages were repaired to welcome visitors.
The official stated due to COVID-19, the wildlife sanctuary beheld less footfall than regular times last year. Therefore, this resulted in the collection of less revenue.
