Gaurav Kalita, a BCA student graduating this year, has been given a 60,000 AUD annual salary by Halfbrick Studios, an Australian video game development studio. His pay is a whopping 32 lakhs per year in Indian rupees. He is required to carry out his duties from his “home office,” according to his offer letter. He needs to work from nine until six, with an hour for lunch in between. On Saturdays and Sundays, he will be granted two off-days.
In five rounds of the interview, he succeeded. The first conversation was a casual one with the CEO of the business. He received a coding assignment for the next round. In his third round, he created a sample project. In the fourth round, he had to pass a “cultural fit exam” that involved virtual interaction with the company’s employees. Finally, before receiving the job offer, he had to take a personality test.
“I’ll start working for the company in July as a ‘Graduate Program Generalist.’ I am anticipating a promotion with a higher income after a six-month probationary term”, said Gaurav. He was born in Azara, an Assamese city near Guwahati.
The Assistant Professor of the department of Computer Applications at Assam Don Bosco University ,Mr Vijay Prasad praised his student and said, “21-year-old Gaurav will inspire and have a significant impact on many of his peers.”
Professor Prasad had introduced his pupils to a variety of free online skill classes on different platforms, such as Coursera, during the lockdown. Gaurav Kalita was one of many people who had shown interest in these additional classes, he recalled.
Professor Prasad describes Gaurav as smart, sharp, and persistent. He makes an effort to pursue his passions and objectives.
According to Mr. Shahnowaz Hussain, the placement rate at Don Bosco University is 74 percent overall and rising each year. With so many chances available, placement is simple; students just need to work hard for it, he continued.

Dr. Stephen Mavely had made that declaration in a news release.
Every year, the university expands its course offerings to accommodate more students and prevent them from leaving the Northeast. After everything we have gone through with Covid, he stated, “Our youth may feel safer and at home in Northeast.” Hotel management, D Pharmacy, and B Pharmacy are three recently introduced courses.
