Assam’s Distinguished Mental Health Expert Dr. Dimpy Mahanta Bags The Prestigious Business World’s ’

Guwahati: A distinguished mental health expert from Assam, Dr Dimpy Mahanta has bagged the prestigious “BW Wellbeing World 40 under 40” award in BW Business World’s 40 Under 40 Summit and Awards held at The Imperial, New Delhi on November 26, 2021.

BW Wellbeing World 40 Under 40 is a platform that recognizes Top 40 most influential leaders of the Indian Wellbeing Industry below the age of 40. This year around 300 professionals and entrepreneurs across India were nominated and from that 40 best had been scrutinized, selected and honoured for their contributions towards the wellbeing sector.

The winners were selected by the best of the jury members from the industry. A few of the names which were part of the jury for the whole process were Dr. Annurag Batra (Chairman & Editor-in-Chief, Business World), Luke Coutinho (internationally recognized Holistic Lifestyle Coach), Suzy Singh (Author, Emotional & Mental Well-being Coach), Arvind Bhandari (Executive Vice President & Director, Nestle India Ltd); Prof. Nitin Arora (Amity International Business School), Raj Nayak (Founder & MD, House of Cheer Network) and Shashi Bhushan Dubey (Author & renowned Spiritual and Business Coach).

Dedicating her achievement to the people of Northeastern region who have inspired her to move ahead in her endevour, Dr Mahanta said, “I feel very honoured and privileged of winning such a prestigious award; it’s overwhelming. I have always believed in contributing meaningfully towards the society and my people. This achievement in the form of this award gives me an added responsibility to consistently work with greater vigor in the direction of mental health and well-being and towards creating mental health awareness in the society. I would like to dedicate this award to my parents, my husband, my ten year old daughter Vedanshi Priyadarshini, my well-wishers, mentors and team members without whose unflinching support this would have not been possible. I dedicate this award to the people of my North Eastern Region whose unconditional love and support motivates me to continue working harder in this direction,” said Dr. Mahanta.

Dr. Dimpy Mahanta is an Educator, Motivational Speaker, Psychologist, Trainer, Stress Management Specialist and a Life Coach with 15 years of experience. A Doctorate in Psychology from University of Delhi, she has contributed immensely in the establishment of  Psychology Departments at two premier Educational Institutions in the country, namely, KMV (Delhi University) and Cotton University (Guwahati, Assam) respectively. She is also an elected member of the prestigious American Psychological Association based in Washington DC, an Executive committee member of Indian Academy of Health Psychology and President of the North East Indian Association of Applied Psychology (NEIAAP).
