    Two vehicles carrying a total of 36 sacks of Burmese supari were confiscated during a police operation in Serispur, Assam.

    Digital Desk: Another successful operation by the Hailakandi police that targets Burmese supari smuggling has resulted in major results.

    Two vehicles carrying a total of 36 sacks of Burmese supari were confiscated during a police operation in Serispur, Assam.

    The Serispur police chowki officer-in-charge acted quickly after learning of the illegal transaction and stopped the two trucks carrying supari in Ujankupa, which is under the control of the Serispur police station. As-24-AC-3818 and AS-11-DC-9104 are the registration numbers of the two involved trucks, respectively.

    It was noted that the two truck drivers, however, were able to escape, leaving the vehicles in their wake. An estimated Rs 8 lakh is the market value of the confiscated Burmese supari.

    By strongly condemning smuggling activities in the area, this operation demonstrates the continued efforts of Hailakandi Police to stop illegal trade in Burmese supari.
