Deputy Speaker Numal Momin affirmed the significance of the upcoming session, hinting at the introduction of pivotal bills that will be deliberated upon by the assembly.

    "As we start the budget session from the last part of the first week of February, lots of bills will come up, and questions from various legislators will be addressed," stated Deputy Speaker Numal Momin. He emphasized the importance of this session, indicating that discussions would revolve around pressing matters brought forth by lawmakers.

    Preparations are already in progress to ensure the seamless functioning of the session, with specific details yet to be finalized, according to Momin.     Adding to the anticipation, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has hinted at the introduction of a bill aimed at prohibiting polygamy within the state during the February session.
