Digital Desk: On October 7, the Assam Government issued an advertisement for 5,563 positions in several state government ministries, bringing the state one step closer to giving one lakh government jobs.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced the announcement on platform X, saying, "As promised, today we have released the advertisement for 5,563 posts, bringing us one step closer to our goal of providing one lakh government jobs." There will be another announcement of 15,000 vacancies soon."

- Assam Police is hiring 144 Sub Inspector of Police (UB) positions.
- Recruitment for 51 Sub Inspector (AB) positions in Assam Police Commando Battalions
- Assam Police Radio Organisation (APRO) is hiring 7 Sub-Inspectors of Police (Communication).
- Assam Police is recruiting for 114 Constable (UB) and 1 Constable (AB) backlog positions under the Hills Tribe Category.
- Recruitment of 164 Constable AB vacancies for Assam Commando Battalions
