Digital Desk: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated today that the proposed polygamy bill will be the government's primary priority. They will then consider carrying out an anti-love jihad act.

"First and foremost, there will be the polygamy bill. We'll discuss love jihad later. We'll start with polygamy," CM Sarma explained.

CM Sarma made the statement in response to a question about whether the proposed polygamy bill will include elements of an anti-love jihad act.

It is worth noting that CM Sarma stated that the polygamy bill would be introduced in the upcoming Assam assembly session in February of next year.

However, the meeting is set to begin on February 4.
