Digital Desk: The Additional Superintendents of Police (ASPs) from the security wing of all districts in Assam meet behind closed doors with Director General of Police (DGP) GP Singh.

The closed-door meeting is reportedly taking place at the Assam Police headquarters in the Ulubari area of Guwahati.

This comes after the top cop's recent veiled challenge was publicly accepted by the United Liberation Front of Assam-Independent (ULFA-I).

It has been brought to light that, in response to recent grenade blast occurrences in the state, the top police authorities in each district have implemented extra precautions.

However, the sources said that strong security measures had been implemented in each region.

It is important to note that activities are being carried out in parallel in isolated areas along the border between Assam and Arunachal Pradesh, as well as in other Northeastern states.

Meanwhile, special measures have also been taken for the safety of the Assam DGP.

The Assam police headquarters and the DGP's official residence in the Kahilipara area of Guwahati city have additional security personnel on duty.
