Assam Entrepreneur to Launch Tea named after Ahom General Lachit Borphukan

Mr Ranjit Baruah has worked in the tea sector for nearly two decades before becoming an entrepreneur.

    Digital Desk: An Assam-based
entrepreneur is all set to launch a tea brand named after commander in the Ahom
kingdom Lachit Borphukan. The tea brand, blended by the director of a tea
start-up Aromica Tea Ranjit Baruah, will be launched in New Delhi on November
24 during the celebrations to mark the 400th birth anniversary of the Ahom
General, in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit
Shah are likely to participate. Mr Baruah claims that this tea brand is as
strong as Veer Lachit, who is an epitome of courage, valour, strength and
dedication, just like the tea which is loaded with strong Assam character,
robust liquor and excellent taste. He also says that the pack of Strong Assam
Tea reflects the character and strength of the brave commander, who is known for
his leadership in the 1671 Battle of Saraighat in which the Mughals were
    defeated.

Mr Ranjit Baruah has worked in
the tea sector for nearly two decades before becoming an entrepreneur. Aromica
Tea currently has over 50 varieties of value-added teas. Baruah made headlines
when he launched a CTC tea named after Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky to
honour his valour and courage in the face of Russian invasion and tea packed in
a plantable seed packet with an aim to combat threatened biodiversity and
    climate change earlier this year.

    While assuring that Bir Lachit
tea is strong and satisfying, Baruah hopes that this new tea brand will soon
gain popularity in India as well as abroad.
