    Assam Forest official dies after 5 minutes of walk during the departmental physical fitness test

    Haflong: A forest official under Haflong forest division in Dima Hasao district of Assam died unexpectedly while undergoing a departmental physical fitness test today.





    The deceased forest official has been identified as Brijesh Thaosen. Thaosen was a forester (I) attached at Haflong forest division west, a resident of Digrik village Haflong in Dima Hasao.





    Thaosen fell down unexpectedly after a walk during the physical fitness test conducted by the department.

    He was rushed to the Haflong Civil hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead.





    The departmental physical fitness test has been underway for all front line workers like forest guard, forester II, forester I, deputy ranger, ranger, ACF.





    Today is the second day of the test (7 km walk) which begun around 6.10 am from Haflong council rotary to Boro Haflong view point and return to Haflong council rotary.





    Raju Pokrel, Deputy Ranger, Haflong forest division said, “Brijesh Thaosen was asked to start walking, but within 5 minutes he fell down. He was rushed to the hospital but was declared him brought dead by the hospital authorities. However the cause behind his sudden death is yet to be ascertained.”
