Digital Desk: From May 15 to 22, the Assam Government will re-verify certificates for the Assam State Level Recruiting Commission's recruiting procedure for Grade III and IV posts in several departments.

Assam Health Minister Keshab Mahanta announced during a news conference at the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) on Thursday.

Keshab Mahanta, speaking to the media, stated, "The process of certificate re-verification concerning the recruitment process of Grade III and IV posts will begin on May 15 and will end on May 22." We shall make steps to speed up the recruitment of individuals with disabilities. The procedure will begin at 9 a.m. on May 15."

Meanwhile, Keshab Mahanta indicated that from May 17, certificate re-verification will be held for students of the recruitment exam's Grade IV posts.

According to him, "re-verification of candidates' certificates from serial numbers 1 to 140 will be conducted on May 17, 141 to 280 on May 18, 281 to 420 on May 19, and 421 to 552 on May 20."

According to Mahanta, on May 22, candidates who have been hired for various positions in the health sector will have their certifications re-verified. A total of 268 individuals were hired for Grade III positions and 558 for Grade IV positions.

Previously, the Assam Government imposed unique recruitment guidelines. The government is planning to appoint female candidates in their home districts to secure their safety and convenience. This change will not only increase women's labour-force participation but will also solve their safety concerns.

Furthermore, to ensure that locals are given priority in the recruiting process, the government has opted to select people from the Barak Valley region itself. This would not only provide citizens with job prospects but will also assure improved representation of the region in the government sector.

Furthermore, the government has decided to prioritise the appointment of differently-abled candidates in their home districts to assure their accessibility and convenience at work.
