    Digital Desk: State Agriculture Minister Atul Bora announced on Saturday that the Directorate of Horticulture and Food Processing, Assam, has launched a specialised trade promotion programme across four major metropolises in India: Delhi NCR, Pune, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. The program's goal is to increase production as well as marketing of GI-tagged Assam's "Kaji Nemu." 

    Atul Bora announced the start of the "Kaji Nemu" trade promotion initiative while highlighting the remarkable achievement of Assam's Kaji lemon industry in the global arena, receiving particular praise. 

    When the programme was first launched, 40 marketing specialists from Delhi, Mumbai, and Pune, covering 100 important sites, were involved.

    The Kaji Nemu trade promotion campaign has expanded to include many critical locations in Bengaluru. It is anticipated that the programme, which is slated for November 25–27, 2023, would strengthen the state's horticultural and agricultural industries and position them as reliable sources of income.
