Digital Desk: Six individuals suffered injuries on Thursday when two factions clashed over land problems in Assam's Nagaon district. The incident occurred in Amtola village, Nagaon district.
According to sources, the incident occurred following a physical altercation between the two factions over land problems. Six people were hurt, including two ladies, according to reports.
Dulaluddin Hussain, Ambia Khatun, Manuwara Begum, Dildar Hussain, Jahanara Khatun, and Anuwara Hussain have been named as the injured.
The injured were immediately sent to the Nagaon Bhugeswari Phukanani Civil Hospital for treatment.
Both organisations also filed an FIR at Nagaon's Haibor Gaon police station.
"The fight was for a 5 lucha land. Everyone knows there was a road, but Lal Mia and his gang rejected the land handed to the two parties by Noor Hussain. Lal Mia assaulted us with a knife, a sharp weapon, and bamboo sticks, hurting six of our people," one of the victims, Dulaluddin Hussain, claimed.
"We have registered cases filed by the two groups and have begun an investigation," a police official stated.
