    The accused have been identified as Miraj Ali. He was accused of outraging a woman's modesty during an evening stroll. The woman had filed a complaint, prompting a police operation to apprehend Ali.

    Meanwhile, Miraj Ali was reportedly on the run and laying low to avoid arrest. However, with credible information on his location, police attempted to arrest him. When Ali tried to flee, officers were compelled to fire at him, resulting in a bullet injury to his right leg. He was immediately taken to a nearby medical facility for treatment and is currently receiving care.

    Tezpur Police have assured that legal proceedings against Ali will commence once his condition stabilizes. Additionally, on Friday, police successfully apprehended another sexual harassment suspect from Ambikagiri Nagar in Tezpur, demonstrating ongoing efforts to address such crimes in the region.
