    Digital Desk: A man working in the water resource department in Dibrugarh was brutally killed on September 10. The deceased was identified as Madhurjya Boruah, a native of Jerai Gaon in Chabua in Dibrugarh.

    According to reports, a group of four men entered the house of Boruah at midnight 1.30 AM while he was asleep. Then after, the team attacked Borua brutally, and killed him with machetes and ground leveling tools. Boruah reportedly, collapsed after he was hit on his head.


    A case has been registered in the Dibrugarh Police station, and the house of Boruah has been sealed. The investigation is ongoing.

    Boruah left his wife and a child around 7 years old. The witness said, "At midnight around 1.30 AM, the calling bell was rung, and the wife opened the door. The four men entered, locked the wife and his child inside the room, and then killed Boruah to death."

    According to further reports, the body of Boruah was lying in the dining hall with a pool of blood. The machete used to kill Boruah was also found by the Dibrugarh Police.

    The locality of Boruah's residence reportedly is shaken and saddened by Boruah's death. According to neighbors, Boruah was a person with respect and dignity. Locals are also frightened as the murder took place inside the house of Boruah. Locals raised questions on human safety.
