Digital Desk: The Assam government on Monday released the list of cabinet ministers and political leaders who will hoist the national flag on August 15 throughout the state ahead of the 77th Independence Day celebrations.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will hoist the tricolor in Guwahati.
The following is the list of cabinet ministers who will be hoisting the national flag at different places across the state:
Minister for Panchayat & Rural Development Ranjeet Kumar Das will host in Barpeta
Minister for Agriculture and Horticulture Atul Bora in Golaghat
Minister for Handloom and Textile Urkhao Gwra Brahma in Darrang
Minister for Environment and Forests Chandra Mohan Patowary in Sonitpur
Minister for Transport Parimal Suklabaidya in Silchar
Minister for Health and Family Welfare Keshab Mahanta in North Lakhimpur
Minister for Education Dr. Ranoj Pegu in Dibrugarh
Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Ashok Singhal in Goalpara
Minister for Revenue and Disaster Management Jogen Mohan in Bongaigaon
Minister for Welfare of Tea Tribes Sanjoy Kishan in Nalbari
Minister for Finance Ajanta Neog in Jorhat
Minister for Cultural Affairs Bimal Borah in Kamrup
Minister for Water Resources Pijush Hazarika in Nagaon

Meanwhile, Pramod Boro the Chief Executive Member (CEM) of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) will be hoisting the national flag at Kokrajhar, while his deputy, Gobinda Chandra Basumatary will be hoisting the tricolor at Udalguri.
Tuliram Ronghang, CEM of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, will also be hoisting the tricolor at the Diphu Independence Day celebrations.
The national flag will also be hoisted at Halflong on the 77th Independence Day by CEM of Dima Hasao Debolal Garlosa.
