Digital Desk: The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a special bulletin warning of heavy rainfall and thunderstorms in Assam over the next three to four days.

The forecast attributes this weather phenomenon to moisture incursion from the Bay of Bengal through lower-level South Westerly winds to the North East.

Anticipated weather conditions include widespread rain, thunderstorms, lightning, and isolated heavy rainfall across Assam.

A yellow alert has been issued for 10 districts – Morigaon, Nagaon, West Karbi Anglong, Hojai, Dhemaji, Charaideo, Tinsukia, Dima Hasao, Dibrugarh, and Karbi Anglong.

Residents are advised to stay cautious, and the possibility of cold weather and dense fog is also anticipated alongside the expected rainfall.
