Digital Desk: The flood-related death toll in Assam has reached 26 after another person was confirmed drowned, according to the latest flood report from the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) released on Thursday.
The incident occurred on Tuesday when the individual was swept away by floodwaters, resulting in drowning. The report highlights that the Kopili River in Kampur, Katakhal River in Matizuri, Barak River at Badarpur ghat, and Kushiyara River in Karimganj are all flowing above danger levels. However, none have reached their highest flood levels.

Currently, there are 183 relief camps and centres operational, including 105 relief camps and 78 relief distribution centres, providing assistance to those in need. These facilities are accommodating 14,215 residents, including 3,979 children, 48 pregnant or lactating women, and 12 individuals with disabilities.
As the flood situation in Assam persists, it continues to impact 354,393 livestock, including various animals and poultry.
