Digital Desk: The Assam government has officially announced the commencement of the fifth phase of Gunotsav, the state's renowned educational quality assessment program. Set to take place in 2024, this initiative is aimed at evaluating the quality of education and catalyzing improvements in Assam's schools.
Gunotsav is scheduled to span from January 3 to February 9, covering a multitude of districts across the state. The assessment process will be executed in three distinct phases:
Phase 1 (January 3-6): Schools in Barpeta, Karimganj, Kamrup, Karbi Anglong, Kokrajhar, Lakhimpur, Nagaon, Sivasagar, South Salmara-Mankachar, and Udalguri districts will undergo evaluation.
Phase 2 (January 9-12): The second phase will focus on schools in Baksa, Chirang, Charaideo, Dhemaji, Dhubri, Golaghat, Hailakandi, Jorhat, Kamrup (Metro), Sonitpur, and Tinsukia districts.
Phase 3 (February 6-9): The final phase of Gunotsav will assess schools in Bongaigaon, Darrang, Nalbari, Morigaon, Dima Hasao, Majuli, West Karbi Anglong, Dibrugarh, and Goalpara districts.
