    Assam government to implement project Sadbhavna from next month
    Digital Desk: Assam government has decided to implement project Sadbhavna from February 1, 2022. Moreover, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated that this project would be implemented to close all old cases and pending files before May 10, 2022.

    "Taking strong step to vacate all old cases and close the long pending files, the state government will begin the implementation of Project Sadbhavna from February 1," said CM Sarma.

    Moreover, CM Sarma added that Janata Bhawan (Assam Secretariat) has many old issues connected to different departments, and as such cases, decisions have been pending for years. So while old files are compiling dust on the shelves, nationals have to visit the concerned branch to pursue cases in the expectancy of some conclusion.

    Assam chief minister CM Sarma interacted with the officials of Janata Bhawan on Monday. During the interactive session, Sarma has urged officials to redefine their positions and rededicate themselves to help the individuals of the state.

    The Assam government will soon start enforcing the e-office system at Janata Bhawan. This method will be functional in all Secretariat units by May 10, 2023.

    "Once Project Sadbhavna is carried to its analytical decision on May 10, the state government will begin the execution of the e-office system at Janata Bhawan, which is targeted to be functional in all units in the Secretariat by May 10, 2023," added CM Sarma.

    Regarding the implementation of project Sadbhavna, the Assam chief minister has clarified certain prospects. He said that all citizens would be provided two months to register and cite file numbers under the first phase of this project. After that, they are asked to refer to government communication concerning old issues online. 

    Chief Minister Sarma further added, "Those who do not have access to the internet can also approach the Public Facilitation Centers and later register and give the attributes. A unique number will be provided to the citizen to maintain track of the advancement of the case."

    "Along with this, all the departments will do the routine of collection, records and analysis of all the old files and cases before May, 2021. In the second phase, the departments will be provided period till April 2022 to clear all the old issues. Afterwards close the files. The practice will be ended by May 10, 2022."

    The government portal for this project will also welcome feedback from the citizens. Citizens can further track the advancement of their response.
