Digital Desk: The Assam government has made a significant decision by raising the age limit for the Sub-Inspector of Police (Communication) post at the Assam Police Radio Organization (APRO). The decision increases the maximum age for qualified candidates from the existing 24 to 26 years.
This move may be intended to recruit more competent people to join the police force and to increase the pool of possible candidates. It is anticipated that raising the age limit will make it possible for more aspirants to join the Assam Police in this specialized capacity.
A notification issued on October 6, 2023, was used to initially publicize the recruitment process for 7 posts as Sub-Inspectors of Police (Communication) in APRO.
The new qualifying requirements under Para II, following the decision to raise the upper age restriction, are as follows:
(d) Age: Candidates should not be more than 26 years and not less than 20 years of age as on January 1, 2023. (Candidates must be born on or before January 1, 2003, and on or after 1997).
