    Assam police help picnic team to return home on safe hands

    Digital Desk: Assam police drive against drunk drivers on New Year Eve 2022 has shown significant results. Chamaguri police officer Pravan Kalita has displayed a great role in demonstrating social responsibility.





    People all over the state are celebrating the new year with full delight and enjoyment. Amid all fun, Pravan Kalita has saved the lives of a picnic group in Chamaguri, Assam. The picnic team has escaped from an unwanted accident for the officer's right decision. 





    As per sources, the driver of the picnic team who came to Chapanala, Nagaon, for celebrating New Year Eve was caught drunk. Assam police authorities could detect the driver's body language when he returned to the vehicle after consuming alcohol.





    The driver was caught being drunk at the picnic entrance by police personnel. Police officer Pravan Kalita immediately asked the driver to vacate the vehicle being drunk. Kalita has also assisted the picnic team return home by allocating police personnel to operate the vehicle.

    Under the guidance of officer Pravan Kalita, this initiative turned out commendable. People of the state praised the right decision of the officer and in helping individuals to have a good new year celebration. 





    People all over the state have been praising the measures taken by the Assam government for the protection of those who celebrate the new year. Earlier, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has asked the drivers of a picnic team not to consume alcohol. 





    Assam government and police authorities started a special drive against drunk driving ahead of New Year. On January 1, 2022, CM Sarma, with fulfillment and satisfaction, stated that there were zero cases reported this year of any drink and drive road accidents.





    The campaign started by Assam police under the orders of Assam CM Sarma against drunk and drive has turned out to be a productive activity this year.
