Attention Parents! Your kids are heading towards a disruptive future; give them lessons on ‘Sanskar’

Nagaon: Shocked by the recent incident of a 6-year-old girl’s murder by three minor boys for refusing to watch porn video on mobile phones at Kaliabor, Nagaon Superintendent of Police (SP) Anand Mishra has alerted parents and guardians to remain alert about their child’s activities, especially with mobile phones.

The SP while addressing the media highlighted how the society is heading towards a degrading situation as kids are getting easily swayed by the digital bombardment and its negative impact on the kids psyche.

He adjures to the parents and guardians to give their children proper direction before handing out mobile phones to them. Additionally, he asked the parents to teach ‘sanskar’ and good thoughts so as to not get affected by the vicious circle of the digital world.

Stressing about giving respect to a female child, Mishra said, “The parents should teach their male child to respect females.”

Further, putting more light on the incident, Mishra said from the browsing history of the three accused, it came to light that they were porn addicts and even after being released from police custody, they watched porn videos.

Pointing it as a dangerous trend, Mishra added, “When our team scrolled through the phone browsing history of the accused, they found that all of the minors were porn addict and even after getting released from police custody they continued to watch porn videos.”

However, the family members, despite knowing about the heinous crime done by their children they refused to co-operate with the police investigation and demanded their early release.

Earlier, the four accused were arrested by the Superintendent of Police Anand Mishra and Officer-in-charge of Kaliabor Police Station Rajib Baruah. The accused were sent to the special cell from the juvenile custody.

Notably, all the three accused who murdered the 6-year old girl are aged between 8-11 years.
