Digital Desk : A new controversy has erupted between singers Diljit Dosanjh and AP Dhillon. It took centre stage during AP Dhillon's concert in Chandigarh where he accused Diljit of blocking him on Instagram.
Ahead of by-elections in Assam, election campaigns are in full swing by the ruling party candidates. But, the matter falls out of the map. Because, the Election Commission of India has not issued the model code of conduct yet. Further, the model code of conduct will be in force from October 28.
With the ongoing campaigns ahead of orders notified by the Election Commission of India, opposition leaders raised their opinions. Therefore, Leader of Opposition, Debabrata Saikia, raised complaints against the ruling party campaigns ahead of by-polls.
The complaint letter provided to the Chief Electrol Officer stated that the BJP government violated the rules of conducting an election. Congress claimed that the chief minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, has made promises and claims in public gatherings before the issue of the model code of conduct by Election Comission of India.

In response to the complaints raised by the opposition party, Election Commission of India issued a notice for CM Sarma. The notice asked for an answer from the chief minister before 05:00 pm today.
The letter addressed to the Electoral officer included the attached video clips and images of the ruling party violating rules. The opposition party claimed that the ruling party members had conducted campaigns violating the rules of election conduct.
The upcoming by-polls will take place on October 30, 2021. Five different constituencies of Assam, including Gossaigaon, Tamulpur, Thowra, Bhabanipur, and Mariani, will conduct by-polls.
As per reports, 31 candidates will contest in the upcoming by-polls. The model code of conduct will be issued soon by Election Commission of India.
