Himanta Biswa Sarma further emphasized that during the last one and a half months, a significant number of Congress members and well-known leaders have left the party and joined the BJP's ally AGP or the saffron party, but that even booth-level employees have joined the BJP.
"I believe that by 2026 there will be no party called Congress party in Assam and will survive in small pockets of the state," CM added.
