Digital Desk: On Wednesday, a member of Parliament from Arunachal Pradesh reported that China's PLA abducted a 17-year-old youth "from inside Indian territory."
The youth was allegedly 'abducted' on Tuesday from Arunachal Pradesh's Upper Siang area, according to Tapir Gao, a Member of Parliament from East Arunachal Pradesh.
He stated that China's PLA abducted the youth in Arunachal Pradesh, where the Tsangpo River enters India.

PLA has abducted Sh Miram Taron, 17 years of Zido vill. yesterday 18th Jan 2022 from inside Indian territory, Lungta Jor area (China-built 3-4 km road inside India in 2018) under Siyungla area (Bushing village) of Upper Siang dist., Arunachal Pradesh."

"His friend escaped from PLA and reported to the authorities," said Gao.
"All the agencies of the Government of India are requested to step up for his early release," he tweeted.
In his tweet, Gao has tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and the Indian Army.
According to local authorities, Miram Taron, a native of Zido village in Upper Siang district, was part of a party hunting in the border area between the two nations when the event occurred on Tuesday.
"The adolescent was part of a group of local hunters. We learned from other members of the gang who managed to flee that he was kidnapped by PLA on the Indian side," stated Shashvat Saurabh, deputy commissioner of Upper Siang.
"As soon as we became aware of the situation, we notified Indian army authorities operating in the area." "Continual efforts are being made to save the youth as soon as possible," he continued.
In September 2020, five men from the Tagin tribe, who used to work as porters for the Indian Army, went missing from the Upper Subansiri district as well. Following their disappearance, a brother of one of the five men claimed they had been 'abducted' by PLA on social media. BJP MP Tapir Gao and Congress MLA from Pasighat Ninong Ering both made the same accusation.
The boys had strayed across the border while on an expedition to hunt and pick therapeutic herbs, it was later learned. After ten days, Chinese officials returned them to India.
It was the third case of teenagers from Arunachal Pradesh residing near the Indo-China border "straying accidently to the other side of the line of actual control (LAC)" during "adventurous incursions," according to the Indian Army.
