Shillong: The Government of Meghalaya has been relaxed in Shillong till 6 Pm on August 20.
In a statement issued by the Government of Meghalaya , the curfew will be re-imposed from 6 PM of 20 August up to 5 AM of 21 August.
The Internet services have also been resumed after it was banned in 4 districts of Meghalaya i.e East Khasi Hill, West Khasi Hill, South West Khasi Hill and Ri Bhoi.
The situation in the state became tensed after former HNLC leader, Cheristerfield Thangkhiew was killed in an encounter with the police that on August 13.
The curfew started on the day of the Independence Day at 8pm and was first relaxed on Wednesday morning from 5 AM to 4 PM.
