Five people were killed in a head-on collision between a car and a truck in Darrang district of Assam. On Sunday, the accident occurred on National Highway-15 when a truck from the opposite direction crashed the car.
The deceased have been identified as Faridul Islam, Azad Ali, Ibrahim Ali, Saniya Akhtar, and Monowara Begum. All of them were returning from a shoot when the tragic incident took place.
Saniya Akhtar and her mother, Monowara Begum hailed from Daypam. The trio Faridul Islam, Azad Ali, Ibrahim Ali hailed from Shyampur. The trio had a Youtube Channel under the name SR Official.

These YouTubers went out for a shoot that was supposed to be uploaded to their Youtube channel. Meanwhile, Sania was hired by them for the video shoot. Sania Akhtar also had a Youtube Channel named 'SH Product.'
The deceased had started their channel six months ago. Others who were further injured in the collision were taken to Mangaldai Civic Hospital. Later, they were shifted to Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
A police official from the Darrang district stated that a car coming from Tezpur's side towards Mangaldoi was hit by a truck travelling in the opposite route.
Five people in the car died on the spot, and three other passengers were seriously injured in the incident.
According to the hospital, the injured passengers in the accident are in critical condition.
