    Flood situation worsens in Assam; Over 29K people affected in last 24 hrs
    According to ASDMA, 1479.27 hectares of agriculture have been devastated across Assam, including 122 villages in 17 revenue circles.

    Digital Desk: Assam's flood situation continues to get worse, affecting 29,621 people in the last 24 hours across seven districts.

    The seven impacted districts are Biswanath, Charaideo, Dhemaji, Jorhat, Kamrup, Lakhimpur, and Sivasagar, according to the Assam State Disaster Management Authority's (ASDMA) daily flood advisory.

    The Brahmaputra in Neamatighat, the Disang River in Nanglamuraghat, and the Dikhou in Sivasagar are all flowing above the danger level, according to the ASDMA report.

    However, no fatalities have been reported in the last 24 hours.

    According to ASDMA data, Dhemaji continued to be the most affected district, with 17,224 people impacted.

    According to ASDMA, 1479.27 hectares of agriculture have been devastated across Assam, including 122 villages in 17 revenue circles.

    Notably, 19 relief camps and distribution centres are being managed by the government in four districts.

    In the districts of Dhemaji and Lakhimpur, almost 15,296 animals (Small, Big, and Poultry) remain affected.
