Digital Desk: Another huge Holi road mishap made headlines on
Wednesday, Two cars crashed head-on in Guwahati, the state capital of
Assam.
According to preliminary accounts, the accident occurred on the
Ganeshguri flyover. Onlookers reported seeing a Toyota Fortuner collision with
a Hyundai i10 automobile on the flyover.
Yet, because the flyover had clearly marked boundaries, it is
unknown how the two vehicles collided head-on. One of the automobiles is
thought to have been driving on the wrong side of the road.
So yet, there have been no reports of casualties in the major
accident. The number of individuals inside the two automobiles at the time of
the crash is unknown.
A traffic police squad has arrived on the scene to take control of
the situation and do what is necessary. The driver of the car that arrived from
the wrong side of the road is suspected of being under the influence of alcohol
at the time of the accident.
Road accidents on special occasions are not uncommon, as many
throw caution to the wind and fail to consider the dangers of driving under the
influence of alcohol.

Guwahati's Chandmari, dampening the spirit of Holi.

Guwahati's Chandmari neighbourhood at Rudranagar Housing Colony.
According to witnesses, the driver of the
car lost control, resulting in the crash. Others have stated that they believe
the driver was under the influence of alcohol when the tragedy occurred.
The driver of the car and another
passenger were injured in the collision, according to the information gathered.
The vehicle involved in the accident has
been identified as a Maruti Brezza with the registration number AS 01 DL 2412.
