    Digital Desk: In a major haul, Government Railway Police (GRP) seized over 80 kilograms of cannabis at Guwahati Railway Station on Friday.

    This comes after 93.7 kilograms of cannabis was seized by GRP at Guwahati Railway Station on Wednesday night.

    According to information received, officials seized approximately 85 kilograms of cannabis today. According to officials, the shipment was seized while being smuggled similarly.

    Meanwhile, officials were unable to make any detentions to accompany the seizure. The massive seizure occurred on the Rajdhani Express number 20503, which was travelling from Dimapur to Delhi.

    According to GRP officials, the total value of the cannabis seizure is around Rs 42 lakhs.

    A police official told reporters about the major bust, "Based on specific inputs, today we again checked the Rajdhani express numbered 20503, during which we discovered a massive stash of cannabis." Today, 83 kilograms of cannabis were seized. The entire shipment was smuggled and concealed in various parts of the coach."

    On Thursday, reports surfaced of yet another massive cannabis consignment seizure. The previous night, the Government Railway Police (GRP) seized a large cache of cannabis from a train at Guwahati Railway Station.

    In response to intelligence, police searched and seized 93.7 kilograms of ganja from a Rajdhani express train stationed there. According to reports, the train was on its way to lower Assam before stopping in Guwahati.

    According to officials, the estimated market value of the seized cannabis consignment was in crores. There were no arrests made in connection with the seizure.
