    Digital Desk: A 16-year-old boy from Guwahati will be honored with the prestigious Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar, 2024 in New Delhi on January 22.

    A 16-year-old boy named Saiyam Majumdar has been selected as one of the 19 exceptional children for his remarkable contributions as a professional snake rescuer, wildlife conservationist, and dog rescuer.

    The President of India Droupadi Murmu will confer the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puroskar 2024 to 19 exceptional children that will take place at Vigyan Bhawan on 22nd January.

    Saiyam’s remarkable journey began at the age of seven when he started social service of rescuing animals. Under the guidance of his snake rescue trainer Shourabh Kant Mishra, he started his journey as a snake rescuer and at the age of 12, he became India’s Youngest snake rescuer.

    His contributions were officially recognized by the India Book of Records and Ingenious Charm World Records, at the age of 15.
     
    As per the source, the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar, 2024 will be conferred upon 19 children from across the country. They were all selected for their exceptional achievements in the fields of Art and Culture (7), Bravery (1), Innovation (1), Science & Technology (1), Social Service (4), and Sports (5).

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with the awardees on January 23.

    Minister of Women and Child Development, Smriti Zubin Irani and Minister of State, Dr. Munjpara Mahendrabhai will congratulate them for their exemplary performances in their respective categories.
