    Highlights of CM Sarma speech at Srimanta Sankardeva International Auditorium

    Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma made important announcements today at Srimanta Sankardeva International Auditorium. He has talked about technical developments that the government is planning in the state to benefit the people.





    Some of the key highlights from CM Sarma speech:





    CM Sarma stated that people do not have to move from one office to other for any official purposes regarding the construction of the building. All these procedures will be made online for the ease of people.





    Documents regarding property tax, trade license, etc., can be applied through an online portal.





    Sarma has urged people not to make long que in Janata Bhawan for official purposes. Instead, follow the online portal instructions for required applications. 





    Sarma further conveyed about the pending files in the Janata Bhawan. He stated that around 1,70,000 files are pending in the office. Therefore, he has asked people to follow online mediums so that these pending files could be cleared up at the earliest.

    Moreover, CM Sarma also notified people regarding the passport verification process. Earlier, people used to visit the police station for verification. However, now that process will be made online as well.





    Also, people can buy and sell flats in Guwahati without any permission from the District Commissioner.





    Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has stated that all these proposals have already been mentioned in the Cabinet. The Governor has already signed these proposals. He has also mentioned the about formation of a supergroup that will be responsible for improving the drainage system in the city. 





    There were other significant projects inaugurated by CM Sarma today in Guwahati.
