Digital Desk: The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) conducted an interrogation at the Nagaon Police Guest House on Thursday, after the mysterious death of Sub-Inspector Junmoni Rabha.

The CID has been conducting interrogations as part of its investigation into the officer's unexpected death.

The CID has summoned the officer-in-charge of the Nagaon Sadar police station, OC Manoj Rajbongshi, for questioning as part of their inquiry.

Earlier, the CID summoned the officer-in-charge of the Haibargaon police station, OC Abhajyoti Rabha.

A dedicated three-member CID investigating team has been stationed at the Bangalmora police station in the Lakhimpur district. This team has been methodically scrutinizing relevant documents and evidence in their attempt to discover the truth behind Officer Junmoni Rabha's death.

The criminal investigation department (CID) picked up an eyewitness on Thursday in the suspected murder of Kaliabor sub-inspector (SI) Junmoni Rabha.

The eyewitness has been identified as Pranab Das, a resident of Bokakhat in the Golaghat district.

According to initial reports and recordings, he was arrested after a TV interview at the premises of a private satellite channel in Guwahati.

Earlier, Das stated that Junmoni's car was stationary and parked on the left side of the national highway at the time of the accident.

Das further stated that he was on his way from Guwahati when the accident happened.

"I saw the car parked on the left side of the highway, and then a truck coming from the opposite side hit it and crashed the car," Das said.

"At the time, I saw a man wearing black jeans getting out of the car immediately after the incident. I was waiting there for a few minutes after the accident. However, a Jakhalabandha police officer instructed me to leave the area immediately, and I did so." he added.
