    'Local Kung Fu 3' set to hit theaters in September 2024
    'Local Kung Fu' was released on September 27, 2013, and 'Local Kung Fu 2' was released on April 19, 2017. 

    Digital Desk: 'Local Kung Fu' and 'Local Kung Fu 2', two Assamese feature films directed by Kenny D. Basumatary, have created a remarkable trend among the people in the state.

    Filming on the action-comedy picture is now in progress, with the third installment of the series scheduled to hit theaters in September 2024.

    About 25% of the film's shooting has been finished, according to director Kenny D. Basumatary.

    "The film which has already been shot in different parts of the city will have most of the actors of local Kung Fu first including Bonny Deori, Utkal Hazowary, Bibhash Singh, Johnny Deori among others," said Kenny Basumatary, the film's director.

    'Local Kung Fu' was released on September 27, 2013, and 'Local Kung Fu 2' was released on April 19, 2017. These dates should be noted.

    The series' debut film was said to as India's first Kung fu movie. Charlie, "an ordinary boy from Guwahati with a delicate stomach," his girlfriend, and several outrageous individuals are the main protagonists in the story.

    On the other hand, Durlov Baruah and Kenny Deori Basumatary's "Local Kung Fu 2" was based on William Shakespeare's "The Comedy of Errors." Through crowdsourcing, the filmmakers were able to successfully raise funds for post-production.
