    Militant outfit DNLA calls for ‘unilateral ceasefire’, agrees for peaceful talks with the government

    Diphu: In a positive response as well as a goodwill gesture on behalf of the Dimasa militant outfit-Dimasa National Liberation Army (DNLA), the outfit has decided to put forward their decision to sit for peace talks with the government today at Dhansiri, Karbi Anglong.





    DNLA Chairman Itika Diphusa, Additional CNC Juddison Haflongbar alias America Dimasa Kachari and General Secretary Pritamjit Jiddungsa alias Galau Dimasa Kachari were together welcomed by the government for future peace talks and integration of the members with the mainstream.





    Today’s meet was chaired by State Education Minister Ranoj Pegu, Special ADGP G.P. Singh, ADGP Special Branch Hiren Nath along with the three leaders of the DNLA for signing of the peace agreement.





    Meanwhile, the representatives of the government and DNLA leaders are arriving towards Guwahati to carry forward the talks on peace agreement.





    The signing of the peace agreement will take place in the presence of the state government representatives along with Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, after a conducive decision on both sides.
