The incident occurred on June 21 at around 11 P.M. and involved a class 9 student named Rehan Haque, who lost his hand while trying to save his older brother after a fight broke out between two groups over a child's argument.

The violent altercation saw Moinul Haque, along with his accomplices—Tattoo, Tempo, Rashidul, Zahidul, Salwar, Samina, Amina, and Momena—assaulting the opposing side with daggers, axes, and other sharp weapons.
