Guwahati: Assam Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports aims to organize Fit India Freedom Run 2.0 from August 13, 2021. This initiative has been taken to observe Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav-India@75 in the entire nation.
In this regard, the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) will coordinate the Freedom Run in 34 districts in Assam. It will cover 75 villages in each district. Therefore, every district will have 75 participants. Therefore, 191250 participants will take part up to October 2, 2021, in Assam.
The 'Fit India Freedom Run' was considered the earlier year in the wake of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Considering social distancing became the 'new normal' lifestyle, to ought the immediate requirement of fitness.
