Guwahati: In the last few days, the obsession of clicking selfies on the newly constructed Dispur-Supermarket flyover has grown multi-folds even as crowd continue to visit the most beautiful flyover of Guwahati.

Panels depicting the rich cultural heritage of Northeast, painted by the now widely known art group, the LivingArt led by artist Neelim Mahanta, has left everyone in awe. With people going in huge numbers to click selfies on the flyover, which further creates trouble for the moving traffic, the Guwahati Municipal Corporation is mulling plans to impose penalty for those caught taking selfies on the flyover from now on.
Further, GMC also issues a series of penalty for those caught pasting unauthorised posters on the walls of the flyover.
Acting tough on violators, GMC has given four WhatsApp numbers for people to post pictures of people spitting or littering the cityscapes. Anyone who sends images of people spitting in public places will get a cash reward of Rs 1,000. The WhatsApp numbers issued by GMC are 8811007000, 7399003001, 7399003002 and 7399003003 where denizens can post pictures of offenders.
