Rahul Gandhi has always been scared of me, and now he is scared of my children too: Assam CM

Digital Desk: Ahead of the Pran Pratishtha of Ram Mandir, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma at a press conference in Guwahati on Sunday stated that the government is taking a significant risk by permitting the 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' to pass through Batadrava Than on the day of the Ayodhya Ram Temple consecration.

 

Taking on Rahul Gandhi's corruption allegations, CM Sarma stated, "Rahul Gandhi pehle toh mujhse darta tha, ab mere bacche se bhi darna shuru kar diya".

Rahul Gandhi made some serious allegations against Chief Minister Sarma, claiming that he is the most corrupt person in the nation and that corruption is carried out by his family, including his children. 

In response, the chief minister asserted that no one could be more dishonest than the Gandhi family. 

Taking to X, CM Sarma stated, "You are out on bail in a corruption case. Your family had a hand in the absconding of Warren Anderson from the country, the main accused in the Bhopal Gas Tragedy. Your family was behind the escape of the main accused in the Bofors scam. 2G scam and coal scam happened under the patronage of your family. The money stolen in this scam is 5 times more than the GDP of Assam. The surprising thing is that you indulge in corruption and have the courage to call others corrupt. The people of Assam gave a befitting reply to your “Nyaya Yatra”. I can understand your frustration.”

 

Rahul Gandhi said at multiple public events over the final two days of his Bharat Jody Nyay Yatra in Assam that the chief minister of the state could 'teach' other chief ministers of BJP-ruled states 'how to get involved in corruption'.

On the first day of the Yatra, Chief Minister Sarma responded to these accusations by calling the Gandhi family the most corrupt' and accusing them of using a 'duplicate' surname.
