The incident left a significant number of passengers injured, with one individual reported to be in critical condition.

The ill-fated bus, identified by its registration number AS01 GC 5040, reportedly lost control while navigating the toll plaza area, resulting in a violent collision with the central divider. The force of the impact caused a cascade of injuries among the passengers on board. Immediate responders and emergency services were swiftly dispatched to the spot to provide aid and transport the injured to medical facilities.

Approximately 30 passengers sustained several injuries, with one passenger's condition deemed critical. All injured individuals were promptly transported to the Bhawanipur Health Centre to receive urgent medical attention and assessment. Medical staff at the health center are working diligently to ensure that the injured passengers receive the necessary care and treatment.

In a separate incident earlier on August 15, tragedy struck in Assam's Goreswar when a collision involving a speeding motorcycle and a scooty resulted in a fatal outcome. The collision occurred at Bangalpara in Goreswar, Baksa district. The unfortunate incident led to the immediate loss of a young life.

The victim of the accident was identified as Bipul Nirala, a youth who tragically lost his life at the scene. The head-on collision between the motorcycle and the scooty was witnessed by onlookers, highlighting the gravity of the accident and its devastating consequences.
