The CM informed that the state government will construct one more flyover connecting RG Baruah Road and Geetanagar to de-congest the tri-junction.
A senior PWD official speaking to a local daily said, “The construction of the flyover is in the planning stage”. The official revealed that final details of the placement and monetary allocations will be soon forwarded once the finalities are decided. “Right now we are in the process of tendering,” added the official.
Meanwhile, the CM also said that two other flyovers at Gorchuk and Basistha Chariali will also be built to serve the people there, as the two locations face extreme traffic at peak hours.
Another flyover from Guwahati Club to Bamunimaidan area will also be built and a Detailed Project Report (DPR) is in the advanced stage of completion, the CM added.
