    The Darrang Police have extended financial assistance to the family of forest guard Dhanmoni Deka, who tragically lost his life in a tiger attack on Wednesday.


    Digital Desk: A forest guard was killed after being dragged away by a Royal Bengal Tiger in Assam's Orang National Park.

    Sources report that Dhanmoni Deka, the guard, was on foot patrol with another armed staff member when the tiger suddenly attacked and dragged him into the dense forest.

    The incident occurred around 5 pm on Wednesday.

    Deka's mutilated body was found late last night near the Kheroni Camp, approximately three kilometers from the attack site.

    The news of his death has cast a deep shadow of sorrow over his hometown in Dipila's Hatimara area.

    The Darrang Police have extended financial assistance to the family of forest guard Dhanmoni Deka, who tragically lost his life in a tiger attack on Wednesday.

    According to sources, the Superintendent of Police (SP) office in Darrang provided Rs 30,000 to the grieving family.

    This aid was given to Dhanmoni Deka's father as part of the district police's efforts to support the family during this challenging period.
