    Traffic Rules Levied with effect from September 29 to 30 For ICC World Cup Warm-Up Matches To Be Held In Guwahati

    Digital Desk: The Indian Cricket Squad has arrived in Guwahati, Assam today. However, we don't have to say about the craze of the fans to see the Indian Team. Eyeing on all conditions traffic rules have been set ahead of the warm-up matches.


    The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic, has declared an order of traffic restrictions for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 warm-up matches, which will begin on Friday, 29 September at the ACA Stadium in Barsapara, Guwahati.


    The restrictions will be in effect on September 29 and 30, as well as October 2 and 3, with a special emphasis on vulnerable road commuters such as children, students, women, senior citizens, and differently-abled individuals, as well as to allow emergency vehicles such as ambulances and fire tenders unhindered passage.


    Following are the traffic restrictions imposed-


    1| Commercial vehicles with four wheels or more will experience limitations on NH-27 and NH-17 within Guwahati City from 9 a.m. to 12 a.m. on September 29 and 30, and October 2 and 3.


    2| On September 29 and 30, and October 2 and 3, commercial goods carrying vehicles with three wheels or more will be limited on AK Azad Road and AK Dev Road from 9 a.m. to 12 a.m.


    3| From 1 a.m. on September 29 and 30, as well as October 2 and 3, AK Azad Road (Lakhra Road) will become one-way.


    4| Vehicles will be allowed to travel from the Cycle Factory side to Lakhra Chariali. Except for car pass holders, school buses, and emergency vehicles such as ambulances and fire tenders, no entry would be permitted from Lakhra Chariali.


    5| On September 29 and 30, as well as October 2 and 3, Barsapara Road from Barsapara Tiniali to Dhirenpara Tiniali will be closed to vehicles with car passes. 


    6| Except for local inhabitants, vehicles without car passes will not be permitted to access Barsapara Tiniali. There will be no vehicles allowed to approach from Dhirenpara Tiniali towards Barsapara Stadium.
