    Tripura government signs concession agreement with Infovalley for SIHM

    Agartala: The Tripura government on Monday signed a concession agreement with Infovalley Educational & Research Pvt. Limited to run the State Institute of Hotel Management, Catering and Applied Nutrition at Agartala.






    Minister of Tourism Pranjit Singha Roy, Tripura Tourism Development Corporation Ltd, MD T K Chakma, Chairman of Infovalley Educational and Research Pvt Limited Sanjay Aditya Singh and Project Head of SIHM Pankaj Debbarma were present at the program.






    As per the report, the agreement was signed to facilitate top-class hospitality studies in Tripura and the nearby states.






    “This project will lay the foundation of progressive employment program and eventually will significantly impact many lives of our youths. With the setting up of the State IHM, we are also hopeful to boost our local economy by engaging a skilled workforce.” said Minister Roy.

    Moreover, Tripura Tourism Development Corporation, MD, Chakma stated, “The need of a state IHM in Tripura is an appropriate step to counter the unemployment crisis. Through this engagement with Infovalley, we are sure to provide a platform for our youth to make themselves eligible for employment without looking for opportunities outside Tripura.”

    Speaking about the courses in SIHM, Sanjay Aditya Singh said, “The proposed SIHM would offer various courses including B.Sc Hotel and Hospitality Management, B.Sc in Culinary Arts and Catering technology, five Diploma programs and two PG programs in Hotel and Hospitality Management.”






    He informed that the courses will begin from January 2022.
