    Digital Desk: Sangeeta Dutta, the accused doctor detained in connection with the horrendous child abuse case in Guwahati, has made numerous shocking revelations about the occurrence.

    She disclosed during interrogation that the victim's young girl and another minor boy are not their children. Sangeeta also stated that she had no idea who their parents were or where they came from. According to Sangeeta's statement, the newborn infants were given to them as twins by a woman in the year 2019.

    According to sources, the accused doctor put on make up' before joining the police squad.

    Meanwhile, ADCP Nandini Kakoti stated that upon questioning, Sangeeta Dutta admitted that the two kids were not hers.

    "Sangeeta had burnt the child with a hot iron and even poured boiling water on her," the ADCP stated. Sangeeta admitted today that she misled to police about the IVF treatment."

    The medical couple is also suspected of physically abusing their (apparently adopted) minor kid, according to the authorities.

    Meanwhile, on Sunday, a team of Child Protection Commission officers arrived at the Paltan Bazaar Police Station. Along with ADCP Nandini Kakati, the team of officials will pay a visit to Sangeeta Dutta's residence. The team would examine the two children's health.

    On Saturday night, police apprehended Sangeeta Dutta. The doctor had gone into hiding in a bungalow in Umsning, Ribhoi, Meghalaya. The police team, led by ADCP Central Nandini Kakoti, was able to locate her at a bungalow on a hillside behind Greenwood Resort. Sangeeta was then taken to the Paltan Bazaar police station and held there overnight. 

    Dr. Waliul, Sangeeta's husband, is being held in police custody for five days in connection with the matter. Meanwhile, Lakshmi Rai, the caretaker who was reportedly engaged in the affair, has been placed in judicial detention.

    Assam DGP GP Singh, on the other hand, directed the Guwahati Commissioner of Police and other officers to the police headquarters to watch over the case. He additionally provided the appropriate instructions.
